Personal data we hold and how we process it

Customers and suppliers

We collect data about our customers and suppliers and their employees or agents as part of the process of entering into a contract and in order to fulfill our contract to them.

We process this data in order to fulfill our contractual obligations.

We may continue to hold and process customer and supplier data where it is necessary to comply with our tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

Market research

We undertake research into our target market to improve our understanding of the organisations that we seek to supply services to and the relevant decision makers in those organisations. We also contact relevant individuals to tell them about our services and in the course of this work we hold and process the personal data of people working in or agents of certain organisations under our legitimate interest.

We minimise the amount of data we hold and the length of time we hold it for. We also try to rely as far as possible on public datasets. We keep in touch with individuals in our target market and periodically contact them to ensure we understand their organisation’s needs and the services we offer.

Newsletters, events and other similar uses

We sometimes ask people to consent to let us hold and process their data. Examples of this will be around an event or when people sign up to newsletters or other specific services. We make sure we only use their data for the purposes they consented to.

All this data may be stored one or more of a number of electronic services. We take steps to ensure that at all times the data is kept secure and that the services we use are compliant with UK and EU regulations governing the use of data.

Our data controller is: Ben Proctor, Technical Director.

Cookies

Google Analytics

We anonymously track the behaviour of all visitors to this site using Google Analytics. This includes the use of the Google Analytics tracking cookie. We use this data to understand how people use our website and to improve and update our content. Read more on this cookie and how it is used by the Google Analytics service. IP addresses are provided to Google Analytics but are anonymised with the Google Analytics service.

Doubleclick

We also make use of the DoubleClick advertising cookie in Google Analytics. This gives us more information about our users (such as their age profile and their interests). We use this data to understand how people use our website and to improve and update our content for specific groups of users. We also use this to modify content for specific users (remarketing). Read more on this cookie and how it is used by Google Analytics

By browsing our website you consent to all these forms of tracking of your behaviour.

Hubspot

We use the Hubspot tracking cookie. You can choose to accept or decline this cookie.

If you decline we will not track your behaviour on the site using Hubspot. Though a small cookie will be used to tell Hubspot not capture your data.

If you accept we will track your behaviour as an anonymous user of the website and attempt to identify you and relate your identity to your behaviour on the website.

We can see what named individuals do on our website if they consent to provide information to Hubspot. We will also attempt to identify people via the IP address of the computer they are using to visit our website (using a database maintained by Hubspot). Typically this reveals the organisation that they work for or the ISP they use (or both).

We can tie this information to our other marketing campaigns and potentially infer the named individual who visited us or at least narrow the apparently anonymous visitor down to a small group of possible named individuals.

We do this as part of our marketing work because our website is designed to help potential customers understand and make use of our services. We treat this data as described in  our data and privacy statement.

Conversion tracking from Google Adwords, Facebook and LinkedIn

We, from time to time, install tracking scripts, cookies and pixels in our website that enable us to confirm when people have visited as a result of paid advertising campaigns that we have run on those platforms.
